Policy Briefs: A New Series on Government Digital Transformation and Public Innovation
CAF—development bank of Latin America—has published the first four documents in the Policy Briefs series, which intends to educate on key issues for the digital transformation of governments and the efficiency of public processes.
Through the Policy Briefs—which are short documents focused on particular topics—CAF seeks to disseminate “knowledge for action” aimed at providing tools to promote digital transformation, as well as foster public innovation and improve lawmaking and public integrity, even in cities.
These publications briefly discuss specific issues, proposing policy options to address them, as well as recommendations to solve the various problems. The articles also recall a few of the region’s success stories, which can be taken into account by the various national and sub-national stakeholders.
The Policy Brief series is specifically aimed at public policymakers and officials, as well as international partners and all parties interested in innovative proposals to improve public management and citizen services.
The first articles published in Spanish include:
- GovTech and the Future of Government: the Case of MuniDigital® in Argentina
- GovTech and the Future of Government: the Case of Visor Urbano in Mexico
- Would anti-corruption advisory committees work? The case of the Engel Commission in Chile
- Governing Cities: The Role of Centers of Government and Delivery Units
The series will continue with new documents focusing on digital transformation, data intelligence, public transparency and integrity, regulation and process streamlining, and smart cities.
The Policy Briefs are, in many cases, the product of more extensive and in-depth studies carried out by DIDE. For additional information on these topics:
