New Call for CAF Financial Inclusion Laboratory
CAF—development bank of Latin America—is organizing the second edition of the Financial Inclusion Laboratory (LIF 2020) with a view to promoting the creation of technological solutions that help solve public and private sector needs arising from the crisis caused by COVID-19 in the following areas:
- Financial inclusion of vulnerable groups
- Financial inclusion with an impact on the productivity of SMEs
LIF 2020 brings together the public and private sectors, investors and entrepreneurs to foster business opportunities, encourage the interaction of members of the business ecosystem and provide concrete solutions to the issues of financial inclusion described in the terms of the initiative.
Financing and acceleration
The initiatives presented at LIF 2020 (apply here) will have a wide variety of financing and acceleration possibilities, including:
- The 11 winning proposals will participate in the Endeavour, Seedstars or Ventures Accelerator by Google for Startups acceleration programs, which are scheduled to begin in January 2021 for a three-month period.
- All proposals will be eligible for a round of financing by major private banks and investment funds from Latin America and the Caribbean, upon an expression of interest from the relevant financiers.

- Partners by country: More than 40 national private banks and national government agencies and fintech associations (see terms).
Important dates
- Project may be submitted from October 5 to November 8, 2020 at 23:59 p.m.
- Pitch at the& matchmaking event: December 9, 2020.
- Acceleration activities: January to April 2021.
