Participate in the Third Edition of CAF’s Online Seminar on Public-Private Partnerships
CAF—development bank of Latin America—invites you to apply for the third edition of the seminar on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), in which public officials across the region will learn practical and applied approaches on the entire phase flow of PPPs.
This 120-hour online course will start April 5 through the Canvas educational platform, open 24/7 to provide greater flexibility to students. It is structured in a short introductory module and six main modules, each focusing on a key and critical area of the phases of a PPP project.
It will be taught by a teaching team composed of former ministers, former deputy ministers and former directors of public works, transport, infrastructure, as well as university professors and regional PPP experts.
The seminar is aimed at public officials in Latin America who have or expect to have professional contact with PPPs in the near future. It is recommended that officials have a minimum knowledge and experience on PPPs to best benefit from the course, as it skips the fundamentals and seeks to improve existing basic knowledge in this regard.
The benefits of the course include the opportunity to obtain up-to-date knowledge about the implementation of such projects, sharing the coming challenges at the regional level and accessing a network of more than 500 PPP experts from across Latin America and a virtual library of regulations, publications, papers, articles, etc., on PPPs and infrastructure.
All applicants must:
- be public servants in Latin America
- master the Spanish language
- hold a degree accredited by a higher education institution at the time of application (their degree must have already been awarded.)
- have at least 5 years of work experience
- have at least 2 years of experience in public investment and/or PPPs
- have a basic knowledge of Excel .
Applications will be open until March 22, 2021. The enrollment fee is USD 1,800 per student. CAF subsidizes 90% of the enrollment fee (USD 1,620), so the participant only needs to pay USD 180, if the payment receipt is sent by April 10. The cost will be USD 230 after the cutoff date.
Participants will receive a CAF-issued digital, portable and compatible certificate as proof of passing the course. For more information, please send an email to cursosvirtuales@caf.com

A week to strengthen ties between Spain and Latin America
The histories of Spain and Latin America and the Caribbean are intertwined; They travel through shared memories of streets and buildings, languages and forms of expression, rhythms, food, culture and sense of belonging. With the aim of delving into these links, CAF is organizing its Conference in Europe on July 9 in Seville, which will feature the participation of Carlos Vives and will be a great opportunity to create synergies in the cultural and creative industries on both sides of the Atlantic.![Paving and maintenance of rural roads to guarantee progress in Peru Paving and maintenance of rural roads to guarantee progress in Peru](/media/4669192/fotos-guia-de-caminos-ndp.jpg)
