During COP16, Cali signed its adhesion to the CAF Biodiverciudades Network, a platform composed of more than 180 cities in Latin America and the Caribbean that promotes environmentally friendly urban spaces integrated with local biodiversity.

CAF, in partnership with Cumbres Blancas, stood out at COP16 as the first multilateral institution to promote the comprehensive protection of the páramos, focusing on their conservation and the well-being of local communities.

During the COP16 in Cali, CAF and O.N.E. Amazon signed an agreement to protect the Amazon rainforest, one of the most important and vulnerable biomes on the planet, through innovative projects that also boost the socioeconomic development of local communities.
